NEW YORK — The Southampton, N.Y.-based Shinnecock Indians on Tuesday fired the first arrow in their battle to reclaim ancestral lands — filing a federal lawsuit seeking the return of 3,600 acres of prime real estate "stolen" by the state a century and a half ago.
The 1,300-member tribe also is asking for monetary damages — conservatively estimated at $1.7 billion — and 150 years of back rent and interest in what it called "the largest Indian land claim ever filed."
The suit is seen by many locals as an attempt to force favorable action on the Shinnecocks' bid for federal recognition and its plan to open a casino in the booming resort area.
Members of the tribe beat animal-skin drums, shook rattles, chanted an "honor song" and whooped yesterday as their leader, Randy King, entered federal court to file the suit.
"This day has been decades in the making. We only seek what is ours," said King, chairman of the tribe's board of trustees.
The tribe wants title to all non-residential property within a 3,600-acre area of Southampton Town — land it claims it was cheated out of in 1859.

Imagine how surprised I was when I heard that the United States and Coalition forces had held a small, private meeting and handed over a document giving Iraq back its status as a semi unfettered sovereign nation early Monday morning.
Now that there is a precedent, I figure that this may be the best time ever to ask the United States to give us American Indians our land back. I figure if they turned over an entire country back to a hodgepodge band of tribal peoples over there, maybe they’ll do it over here.

I am all for teaching about Christianity in public schools:

A recent poll showed that a the majority of Americans believe the Earth is
less than 10,000 years old and that creationism should be taught in public

teachers, including science teachers. So bend over, because George of
Nazareth is pulling down his pants to stick a big hard double dose of
religious lunacy up your ass for the foreseeable future. He has a win-win
going for it is no longer conjecture, it is now accepted by the majority of
Americans that Jesus Christ is a conservative Republican who died on the
cross to give tax breaks for the wealthy.

Pregnant Homeless Woman Denied Room

UPI - Bethlehem, Dec 25 33BC - A homeless pregnant woman claiming to be a
virgin and her husband of a few weeks, were denied a room today at the El
Beth Inn. She and her long haired, dress-wearing supposed husband, dragged a
bag laden mule around town looking for a place to stop and have a quick
baby. They found an open animal pen where the woman went into labor. She
produced a healthy boy and breast fed it. The woman who would only give her
name as "Mary" was later arrested for indecent exposure and vagrancy. The
child, "Jesus Doe" is now in protective custody awaiting disposition of
fornication and illegitimacy charges against "Mary and Joe Doe".

When Matt Lauer asked Romney the Huckabee question about Jesus and the devil
being brothers, Romney refused to answer and handed the question off to the
Church of Latter Day Saints. The Church issued a deceptively worded
statement that most reporters incorrectly read as a denial of the
brotherhood of Jesus and Satan. In fact, the Church could not and did not
deny it. The Church did correctly point out that attackers (meaning critics)
of Mormonism often use the brother bit. Critics also use the Church's 70
year delight in polygamy and sex with very young girls, which also happens
to be true. Critics of Mormonism have plenty to work with without inventing
anything.
The pundits had no idea how deliberately misleading Romney's speech was.
They loved the bit about Romney's father marching with Martin Luther King.
None of them knew that if at the end of the march with George Romney, Martin
Luther King was so taken with Mormonism that he wanted to convert and become
a Mormon priest, George Romney would have had to tell him that they don't
allow black priests. George Romney might also have had to explain to the
Reverend King that Mormons believe black people have black skin because they
turned away from God.

Brigham Young, the most revered president of the Mormon Church, who marched

For US Army soldiers entering basic training at Fort Jackson Army base in
Columbia, South Carolina, accepting Jesus Christ as their personal savior
appears to be as much a part of the nine-week regimen as the vigorous
physical and mental exercises the troops must endure.
That's the message directed at Fort Jackson soldiers, some of whom
appear in photographs in government issued fatigues, holding rifles in one
hand, and Bibles in their other hand.
Frank Bussey, director of Military Ministry at Fort Jackson, has been
telling soldiers at Fort Jackson that "government authorities, police and
the military = God's Ministers,"
Bussey's teachings from the "God's Basic Training" Bible study guide he
authored says US troops have "two primary responsibilities": "to praise
those who do right" and "to punish those who do evil - "God's servant, an
angel of wrath." Bussey's teachings directed at Fort Jackson soldiers were
housed on the Military Ministry at Fort Jackson web site. Late Wednesday,
the web site was taken down without explanation. Bussey did not return calls
for comment. The web site text, however, can still be viewed in an archived
format.
The Christian right has been successful in spreading its fundamentalist
agenda at US military installations around the world for decades. But the
movement's meteoric rise in the US military came in large part after 9/11
and immediately after the US invaded Iraq in March of 2003. At a time when
the United States is encouraging greater religious freedom in Muslim
nations, soldiers on the battlefield have told disturbing stories of being
force-fed fundamentalist Christianity by highly controversial, apocalyptic
"End Times" evangelists, who have infiltrated US military installations
throughout the world with the blessing of high-level officials at the
Pentagon. Proselytizing among military personnel has been conducted openly,
in violation of the basic tenets of the United States Constitution.

Christmas has a complicated history. The modern Christmas (Christ's mass or
Xmas X(Chi) being the first letter of ??????? or Christ. ) is a mixture of
different religions and traditions from multiple countries. The Santa Claus
mythology was added very recently and the most modern characterization was
as recent as 1931. Old Saint Nick morphed from a flying Nick/Woden fusion
flying on a white horse into a chubby cheerful read and white sporting grand
father figure with flying reindeer.
One of the roots of Christmas was the Roman holiday called Saturnalia this
was a celebration for the god Saturn from whom we also get Saturday and for
Safari Jews (Sabbath day). Saturn's name means (sower) one who sows, as in
sowing seeds or the famous phrase you "reap what you sow."
Thus Saturn was of course the Harvest god. During the time of winter
festival which was December 17th and the holiday (probably because it was so
fun) was lengthened to become from December 17-24th. On this day(s) the
Romans had feast, exchanged presents, shut down business, drank, gambled,
sang, and sometimes got naked. And that is not an exaggeration. The reason
it stopped on December 24th is because on December 25th, now Christmas, they
had another festival, "Dies Natalis Solis Invicti," "the birthday of the
unconquered sun." On this day they worshiped several different solar
deities.
There was a prophecy that said Saturn's son would over throw him. So Saturn
ate all of his male children to try and prevent this. However his wife
Uranus hid one of child on an island and gave her husband a stone wrapped in
cloth and allowed him to believe it was the baby.
Saturn ate the rock while his son Jupiter secretly grew up on the island and
then over threw his father. This is a lot like the River in a Basket story
of Moses and the Pharaoh supposedly killing all the first born male
children. And then Moses escaped that and grew up to defeat the pharaoh's
sorcerers in magical contest and free his people (The Hebrews) from slavery.
Of course Moses turning staff into snakes, by magic, in a contest with the
sorcerers, as it is written in the bible, is not accurate. There was a
medical practice done by doctors who may have seems like wizards as in
ancient many cures were attributed to spiritual powers. The practice
preformed by these men was that of removing a poisonous parasite still found
in Africa today. The parasite is a worm and it had to be carefully removed
by slowly twirling it around a stick. You could not just yank it out because
it the worm broke it would poison the host. Men who could perform this task
often hung a sign outside their workplace of a worm or snake twirled around
a stick. Or they would walk with a staff that had a snake's picture carved
on it or even the top of the staff carved into the head of a snake. (Note
that the biological distinctions between snakes and worms were void at the
time).
This later became morphed into the Caduceus which is still used as a medical
symbol. Now later wings would be added to the symbol on the top with snakes
below as they were the symbols of the upper and lower kingdoms of Egypt, a
falcon and a cobra. The Caduceus was a symbol of the sorcerers or occultist
magic like people who could cure illnesses. Alchemy which became chemistry
was also associated with Magic. Ironically, early Science and Religion were
much one in the same.
Apparently, Moses new the same trick as the best magicians proving that he
had equal or greater "spiritual" powers. Obviously they did not literally
change wood into snakes. Now of course according to history, Moses did not
free the Hebrew slaves. The Hebrews may have had a leader at a later date
but much of the Moses story is total fiction.
In reality, or history, it was actually King Cyrus of Persia who set the
Hebrew people free from slavery. Cyrus was a Persian king who sacked the
city of Babylon (now Baghdad) the capital of the Babylonian empire.
The Babylonian people were delighted about this because they were serving a
very unpopular king Nabonidus who was worshiping the moon god Sin instead of
the more popular Harvest God Marduk (the dragon). Marduk's temple is of
course the famous Tower of Babel which King Nebuchadnezzar II expanded on
with Assyrian writing thus making it have two languages.
Nebuchadnezzar was also the King who created one of the wonders of the world
the Hanging Gardens. And he conquered Judah and destroyed temples in
Jerusalem. So naturally the Bible vilifies him and created the myth about
the Tower of Babel trying to reach Heaven and the Hebrew god punishing men
for it by scattering them all over the earth and creating different
languages. Of course that's Judeo-Christian mythology not history or
reality.
It was Cyrus the Great who with the combined strength of Persia and Media
took Babylon without resistance while the unpopular Nabonidus was away. The
Persian king did not believe in slavery and it was he who set the Hebrews
free in Palestine. They did not gather up and walk out of Egypt right
through the Red Sea and no Egyptians were chasing them.
As some of you know, the Jesus myth is copied from earlier sun god myths
from Egypt and India. Namely the stories of Horus and Krishna. For example
both Christ and Chrishna had virgin births from a woman and the divine. Both
were called the son of god,. Both had a last supper and both died and were
resurrected. However the Krishna story is 332 years older than the claim of
Jesus. Now the crucifixions were very different. Kristna was wounded in the
foot by an arrow (like the Achilles myth) and then pinned to a tree. Acts
5:30 and 10:39 and 13:29 of the Bible as well as 1 Peter 2:24 and Galatians
3:13 refer to Christ hanging on a tree.
This is interesting to me because Achilles was also a half human and the son
of Thetis who it was prophesized would have a son who would overthrow Zeus
if he married her. Zeus (Greek) of course became Jupiter (Roman). Thus
Achilles is Saturn/Moses/Krishna/Jesus. Believers in reincarnation would
have a field day with this, but it is much more likely that the same
lies/half-truths/myths just get re-told. Zeus backed off from courting
Thetis and she ended up with Prometheus (the bringer of light also known as
Lucifer). Zeus or Prometheus (there is a debate) made man out of clay in
godlike images and then Prometheus gave man "fire" wisdom. Then as
punishment for Prometheus/Lucifer giving fire to man Zeus would then punish
men by making them labor and have pains (much like the garden of Eden
story). Later Old Zeus gave a special wedding gift to mankind. He gave it to
a woman named Pandora, it was a box... Oh how like the Old Testament god
Zeus is.
Horus was also born of the virgin Isis-Meri on December 25th in a
cave/manger with his birth being announced by a star in the East and
attended by three wise men. (Note that to Egyptians gods could be living
men, they really believed the pharaohs were gods) Both Horace and Jesus were
crucified between two thieves. Both walked on water. Horus was called KRST
or the anointed one. Etc etc and Hebrews who became the Jews a sect of whom
later created Christianity (a form of Judaism where the messiah is believed
to have come and is open to all ethnicities rather than being intrinsically
exclusive to a arbitrary ethnicity -which is it is genetically unscientific)
close their prayers with Amen (the Egyptian sky god who became the "breath
of life" used in the creation stories of man).
Even the 'Jewish' political nation/bloodline, and I am not getting into
that, gets its name from a trinity of gods. Three Egyptian gods, Isis, Ra,
and El became Israel. (Mother, Father, and of the sun and a generic word for
god's name (El) Exodus 6:3 God calls himself El Shaddai it is still in any
older Bible, but the newer ones replace his name with Lord or The Lord.
The land of course was Philistine/Canaan aka Palestine but under the

Allegedly, God promised this land to his people and then the term Israel
became the New name of Jacob (Genesis 32:2 and the Israelites were of his
bloodline and the Promised land was to be just for them. This later changed
to become not the Israelites but the Jews and Jews were people of multiple
origins who might believe they have a common bloodline but in reality do not
and basically are anyone who believes in the religion of Judaism thus
Whites, Blacks, Hebrews, or whoever can be Jewish. But only Hebrews could be
Israelites. Of course they would argue about this. Moderate Jews would say
anyone can me Jewish and Zionist Jews cling to the ancient fascist claims.
December 25th is a special day in the year for astronomers/astrologers. It
is the time of the winter solstice where the sun in farthest from the earth
and on the horizon it seems to stand still for three days before changing
directions and rising in the sky again thus being "reborn" and later
bringing spring and summer. Now if you care, on the modern calendar this day
is actually around December 21-22 maybe you can catch it next year.
Totally separate from the mythological mess in the south was a separate set
of religions in Northern Europe who also had a late December winter
calibration, after all they were all looking at the same sky, called Yule.
This is when people set Yule logs of fire in honor of Thor the thunder god
who would later became a marvel comic book character because of his
unchallenged coolness among all the gods people have invented. Seriously,
the Nordic myths (religions same thing) arguably have the best and most
entertaining creation stories with the Greeks taking second place. I
recommend you dig into it. Sometimes I think religions were like the
old-school soap operas and pro-wrestling dramas of the day.
Now as you know the Christian armies ended up winning and then converting
the youth (by force and torture) of the Pagans to some form of Christianity
only later to disagree about minor things divided into sects and killed each
other again for 300 years. Thus the Scandinavian traditions had a large
impact of Christmas because they were the last to be conquered. (Until the
Native Americans who further influenced [for the better] Christianity
again).
To better convert the Pagans it was a strategic must to assimilate their
holidays. In fact if you want to know where the typical portrait of the
Aryan Jesus came from look no further Apollonius of Tyana whose white face
and features were copied to appeal more to the Northern converts.

putting an evergreen inside your house and top it with a goddess (or star)
which later became an "angel" even though according to the Bible all angels
are men and according to reality angel is the Latin word angelus, which came
from Greek ???????, ángelos, meaning "messenger." Angel came from the Greek
word for messenger and probably got it wings the same way as the US postal
service (who deliver messages) did, which would come from Greek
messenger-god Hermes who had little wings on his feet and sometimes back.
Apparently the evergreen tradition was old enough to bother the Jews of the
Old Testament who wrote about Christmas trees (which apparently god didn't
like because they were of a different religion)

But what about the Santa Claus story? Well believe it or not several myths
bout the myth have been made up to explain this story. Truth be known the
modern figure of Santa in the Red and White with the beard etc came from the
American company Coca-Cola. However the figure is much older than that. His
name is Dutch Sancte Claus. He is a combination of the Catholic St. Nicholas
and a couple of poets in New York. But we'll get to that next time. The
physical depiction of him came from Coca-cola based on the famous poem "Twas
the Night Before Christmas."
Quick Origin of Santa Claus
"a. Nicholas was born in Parara, Turkey in 270 CE and later became Bishop of
Myra. He died in 345 CE on December 6th. He was only named a saint in the
19th century.
b. Nicholas was among the most senior bishops who convened the Council of
Nicaea in 325 CE and created the New Testament. The text they produced
portrayed Jews as "the children of the devil"[11] who sentenced Jesus to
death.
c. In 1087, a group of sailors who idolized Nicholas moved his bones from
Turkey to a sanctuary in Bari, Italy. There Nicholas supplanted a female
boon-giving deity called The Grandmother, or Pasqua Epiphania, who used to

from her shrine at Bari, which became the center of the Nicholas cult.

pagans. These groups worshiped a pantheon led by Woden -their chief god and
the father of Thor, Balder, and Tiw. Woden had a long, white beard and rode
a horse through the heavens one evening each Autumn. When Nicholas merged
with Woden, he shed his Mediterranean appearance, grew a beard, mounted a
flying horse, rescheduled his flight for December, and donned heavy winter

e. In a bid for pagan adherents in Northern Europe, the Catholic Church
adopted the Nicholas cult and taught that he did (and they should)
distribute gifts on December 25th instead of December 6th.
f. In 1809, the novelist Washington Irving (most famous his The Legend of
Sleepy Hollow and Rip Van Winkle) wrote a satire of Dutch culture entitled
Knickerbocker History. The satire refers several times to the white bearded,
flying-horse riding Saint Nicholas using his Dutch name, Santa Claus.
g. Dr. Clement Moore, a professor at Union Seminary, read Knickerbocker
History, and in 1822 he published a poem based on the character Santa Claus:
"Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house, not a creature
was stirring, not even a mouse. The stockings were hung by the chimney with
care, in the hope that Saint Nicholas soon would be there." Moore innovated
by portraying a Santa with eight reindeer who descended through chimneys.
h. The Bavarian illustrator Thomas Nast almost completed the modern picture
of Santa Claus. From 1862 through 1886, based on Moore's poem, Nast drew
more than 2,200 cartoon images of Santa for Harper's Weekly. Before Nast,
Saint Nicholas had been pictured as everything from a stern looking bishop
to a gnome-like figure in a frock. Nast also gave Santa a home at the North
Pole, his workshop filled with elves, and his list of the good and bad
children of the world. All Santa was missing was his red outfit.
i. In 1931, the Coca Cola Corporation contracted the Swedish commercial
artist Haddon Sundblom to create a coke-drinking Santa. Sundblom modeled his
Santa on his friend Lou Prentice, chosen for his cheerful, chubby face. The
corporation insisted that Santa's fur-trimmed suit be bright, Coca Cola red.

The Romans saw the advantage of Monotheism to Polytheism as they saw the
advantage (in war) of an emperor instead of a republic. Polytheism has the
problem of dividing the wealth among the different temples and thus dividing
the power and clout of different areas (like the Greek City States).
Monotheism also bestowed full power to god's appointed authorities (the
kings) and did away with the senate. The Romans copied a very powerful
monotheistic religion, Judaism. However they had to get rid of the ethnic
ties of Judaism being only for Israelites. Thus through the Krishna story
they created a sacrificial figure who could serve to open up the
monotheistic Judaism to ALL people (including Italians) through the Christ
figure. Also the afterlife story was better than the original Greek/Roman
one where only well to do's got to go to Mt. Olympus. Christianity spent a
great deal of time creating "for the poor" stories to covert the herd and
turn them against the senate.
A Caesar knew where his army came from and where the power was and that was
in ruling the masses. Give them bread and circuses...From there on it became
a campaign of kill, convert, and collect. Today the Vatican church has its
own bank, its own gold deposits (much of it stolen by murder from the
Americas) and over a trillion dollars worth in assets and capital. It has
its own small country. The more deadly wing however is the Protestants and
the age of TV preachers. They are aligned with the Zionist movement of
fundamentalists Jews and Protestants who are willing to try and create
conditions for Armageddon.

baby. They found an open animal pen where the woman went into labor. She
produced a healthy boy and breast fed it. The woman who would only give her
name as "Mary" was later arrested for indecent exposure and vagrancy. The
child, "Jesus Doe" is now in protective custody awaiting disposition of
fornication and illegitimacy charges against "Mary and Joe Doe".

When Matt Lauer asked Romney the Huckabee question about Jesus and the devil
being brothers, Romney refused to answer and handed the question off to the
Church of Latter Day Saints. The Church issued a deceptively worded
statement that most reporters incorrectly read as a denial of the
brotherhood of Jesus and Satan. In fact, the Church could not and did not
deny it. The Church did correctly point out that attackers (meaning critics)
of Mormonism often use the brother bit. Critics also use the Church's 70
year delight in polygamy and sex with very young girls, which also happens
to be true. Critics of Mormonism have plenty to work with without inventing
anything.
The pundits had no idea how deliberately misleading Romney's speech was.
They loved the bit about Romney's father marching with Martin Luther King.
None of them knew that if at the end of the march with George Romney, Martin
Luther King was so taken with Mormonism that he wanted to convert and become
a Mormon priest, George Romney would have had to tell him that they don't
allow black priests. George Romney might also have had to explain to the
Reverend King that Mormons believe black people have black skin because they
turned away from God.

For US Army soldiers entering basic training at Fort Jackson Army base in
Columbia, South Carolina, accepting Jesus Christ as their personal savior
appears to be as much a part of the nine-week regimen as the vigorous
physical and mental exercises the troops must endure.
That's the message directed at Fort Jackson soldiers, some of whom
appear in photographs in government issued fatigues, holding rifles in one
hand, and Bibles in their other hand.
Frank Bussey, director of Military Ministry at Fort Jackson, has been
telling soldiers at Fort Jackson that "government authorities, police and
the military = God's Ministers,"
Bussey's teachings from the "God's Basic Training" Bible study guide he
authored says US troops have "two primary responsibilities": "to praise
those who do right" and "to punish those who do evil - "God's servant, an
angel of wrath." Bussey's teachings directed at Fort Jackson soldiers were
housed on the Military Ministry at Fort Jackson web site. Late Wednesday,
the web site was taken down without explanation. Bussey did not return calls
for comment. The web site text, however, can still be viewed in an archived
format.
The Christian right has been successful in spreading its fundamentalist
agenda at US military installations around the world for decades. But the
movement's meteoric rise in the US military came in large part after 9/11
and immediately after the US invaded Iraq in March of 2003. At a time when

Christmas has a complicated history. The modern Christmas (Christ's mass or
Xmas X(Chi) being the first letter of ??????? or Christ. ) is a mixture of
different religions and traditions from multiple countries. The Santa Claus
mythology was added very recently and the most modern characterization was
as recent as 1931. Old Saint Nick morphed from a flying Nick/Woden fusion
flying on a white horse into a chubby cheerful read and white sporting grand
father figure with flying reindeer.
One of the roots of Christmas was the Roman holiday called Saturnalia this
was a celebration for the god Saturn from whom we also get Saturday and for
Safari Jews (Sabbath day). Saturn's name means (sower) one who sows, as in
sowing seeds or the famous phrase you "reap what you sow."
Thus Saturn was of course the Harvest god. During the time of winter
festival which was December 17th and the holiday (probably because it was so
fun) was lengthened to become from December 17-24th. On this day(s) the
Romans had feast, exchanged presents, shut down business, drank, gambled,
sang, and sometimes got naked. And that is not an exaggeration. The reason
it stopped on December 24th is because on December 25th, now Christmas, they
had another festival, "Dies Natalis Solis Invicti," "the birthday of the
unconquered sun." On this day they worshiped several different solar
deities.
There was a prophecy that said Saturn's son would over throw him. So Saturn
ate all of his male children to try and prevent this. However his wife
Uranus hid one of child on an island and gave her husband a stone wrapped in
cloth and allowed him to believe it was the baby.
Saturn ate the rock while his son Jupiter secretly grew up on the island and
then over threw his father. This is a lot like the River in a Basket story
of Moses and the Pharaoh supposedly killing all the first born male
children. And then Moses escaped that and grew up to defeat the pharaoh's
sorcerers in magical contest and free his people (The Hebrews) from slavery.
Of course Moses turning staff into snakes, by magic, in a contest with the
sorcerers, as it is written in the bible, is not accurate. There was a
medical practice done by doctors who may have seems like wizards as in
ancient many cures were attributed to spiritual powers. The practice
preformed by these men was that of removing a poisonous parasite still found
in Africa today. The parasite is a worm and it had to be carefully removed
by slowly twirling it around a stick. You could not just yank it out because
it the worm broke it would poison the host. Men who could perform this task
often hung a sign outside their workplace of a worm or snake twirled around
a stick. Or they would walk with a staff that had a snake's picture carved
on it or even the top of the staff carved into the head of a snake. (Note
that the biological distinctions between snakes and worms were void at the
time).
This later became morphed into the Caduceus which is still used as a medical
symbol. Now later wings would be added to the symbol on the top with snakes
below as they were the symbols of the upper and lower kingdoms of Egypt, a
falcon and a cobra. The Caduceus was a symbol of the sorcerers or occultist
magic like people who could cure illnesses. Alchemy which became chemistry
was also associated with Magic. Ironically, early Science and Religion were
much one in the same.
Apparently, Moses new the same trick as the best magicians proving that he
had equal or greater "spiritual" powers. Obviously they did not literally
change wood into snakes. Now of course according to history, Moses did not
free the Hebrew slaves. The Hebrews may have had a leader at a later date
but much of the Moses story is total fiction.
In reality, or history, it was actually King Cyrus of Persia who set the
Hebrew people free from slavery. Cyrus was a Persian king who sacked the
city of Babylon (now Baghdad) the capital of the Babylonian empire.
The Babylonian people were delighted about this because they were serving a
very unpopular king Nabonidus who was worshiping the moon god Sin instead of
the more popular Harvest God Marduk (the dragon). Marduk's temple is of
course the famous Tower of Babel which King Nebuchadnezzar II expanded on
with Assyrian writing thus making it have two languages.
Nebuchadnezzar was also the King who created one of the wonders of the world
the Hanging Gardens. And he conquered Judah and destroyed temples in
Jerusalem. So naturally the Bible vilifies him and created the myth about
the Tower of Babel trying to reach Heaven and the Hebrew god punishing men
for it by scattering them all over the earth and creating different
languages. Of course that's Judeo-Christian mythology not history or
reality.
It was Cyrus the Great who with the combined strength of Persia and Media
took Babylon without resistance while the unpopular Nabonidus was away. The
Persian king did not believe in slavery and it was he who set the Hebrews
free in Palestine. They did not gather up and walk out of Egypt right
through the Red Sea and no Egyptians were chasing them.
As some of you know, the Jesus myth is copied from earlier sun god myths
from Egypt and India. Namely the stories of Horus and Krishna. For example
both Christ and Chrishna had virgin births from a woman and the divine. Both
were called the son of god,. Both had a last supper and both died and were
resurrected. However the Krishna story is 332 years older than the claim of
Jesus. Now the crucifixions were very different. Kristna was wounded in the
foot by an arrow (like the Achilles myth) and then pinned to a tree. Acts
5:30 and 10:39 and 13:29 of the Bible as well as 1 Peter 2:24 and Galatians
3:13 refer to Christ hanging on a tree.
This is interesting to me because Achilles was also a half human and the son
of Thetis who it was prophesized would have a son who would overthrow Zeus
if he married her. Zeus (Greek) of course became Jupiter (Roman). Thus
Achilles is Saturn/Moses/Krishna/Jesus. Believers in reincarnation would
have a field day with this, but it is much more likely that the same
lies/half-truths/myths just get re-told. Zeus backed off from courting
Thetis and she ended up with Prometheus (the bringer of light also known as
Lucifer). Zeus or Prometheus (there is a debate) made man out of clay in
godlike images and then Prometheus gave man "fire" wisdom. Then as
punishment for Prometheus/Lucifer giving fire to man Zeus would then punish
men by making them labor and have pains (much like the garden of Eden
story). Later Old Zeus gave a special wedding gift to mankind. He gave it to
a woman named Pandora, it was a box... Oh how like the Old Testament god
Zeus is.
Horus was also born of the virgin Isis-Meri on December 25th in a
cave/manger with his birth being announced by a star in the East and
attended by three wise men. (Note that to Egyptians gods could be living
men, they really believed the pharaohs were gods) Both Horace and Jesus were
crucified between two thieves. Both walked on water. Horus was called KRST
or the anointed one. Etc etc and Hebrews who became the Jews a sect of whom
later created Christianity (a form of Judaism where the messiah is believed
to have come and is open to all ethnicities rather than being intrinsically
exclusive to a arbitrary ethnicity -which is it is genetically unscientific)
close their prayers with Amen (the Egyptian sky god who became the "breath
of life" used in the creation stories of man).
Even the 'Jewish' political nation/bloodline, and I am not getting into
that, gets its name from a trinity of gods. Three Egyptian gods, Isis, Ra,
and El became Israel. (Mother, Father, and of the sun and a generic word for
god's name (El) Exodus 6:3 God calls himself El Shaddai it is still in any
older Bible, but the newer ones replace his name with Lord or The Lord.
The land of course was Philistine/Canaan aka Palestine but under the
Babylonian empire, but that's a tangent. (it's all over the rest of this
site:)
Allegedly, God promised this land to his people and then the term Israel
became the New name of Jacob (Genesis 32:2 and the Israelites were of his
bloodline and the Promised land was to be just for them. This later changed
to become not the Israelites but the Jews and Jews were people of multiple
origins who might believe they have a common bloodline but in reality do not
and basically are anyone who believes in the religion of Judaism thus
Whites, Blacks, Hebrews, or whoever can be Jewish. But only Hebrews could be
Israelites. Of course they would argue about this. Moderate Jews would say
anyone can me Jewish and Zionist Jews cling to the ancient fascist claims.
December 25th is a special day in the year for astronomers/astrologers. It
is the time of the winter solstice where the sun in farthest from the earth
and on the horizon it seems to stand still for three days before changing
directions and rising in the sky again thus being "reborn" and later
bringing spring and summer. Now if you care, on the modern calendar this day
is actually around December 21-22 maybe you can catch it next year.
Totally separate from the mythological mess in the south was a separate set
of religions in Northern Europe who also had a late December winter
calibration, after all they were all looking at the same sky, called Yule.
This is when people set Yule logs of fire in honor of Thor the thunder god
who would later became a marvel comic book character because of his
unchallenged coolness among all the gods people have invented. Seriously,
the Nordic myths (religions same thing) arguably have the best and most
entertaining creation stories with the Greeks taking second place. I
recommend you dig into it. Sometimes I think religions were like the
old-school soap operas and pro-wrestling dramas of the day.
Now as you know the Christian armies ended up winning and then converting
the youth (by force and torture) of the Pagans to some form of Christianity
only later to disagree about minor things divided into sects and killed each
other again for 300 years. Thus the Scandinavian traditions had a large
impact of Christmas because they were the last to be conquered. (Until the
Native Americans who further influenced [for the better] Christianity
again).
To better convert the Pagans it was a strategic must to assimilate their
holidays. In fact if you want to know where the typical portrait of the
Aryan Jesus came from look no further Apollonius of Tyana whose white face
and features were copied to appeal more to the Northern converts.
Never mind that long hair being a direct contradiction with Corinthians
11:14 not like anyone actually reads their religious texts anymore anyway.
We no longer teach history in schools, it's too controversial with the money
making myths. Also If Christ came from Krishna, Krishna was Black (or Dark
Indian) that is what his name means.
It is from this Pagan root that you will get the stories about elves, and
putting an evergreen inside your house and top it with a goddess (or star)
which later became an "angel" even though according to the Bible all angels
are men and according to reality angel is the Latin word angelus, which came
from Greek ???????, ángelos, meaning "messenger." Angel came from the Greek
word for messenger and probably got it wings the same way as the US postal
service (who deliver messages) did, which would come from Greek
messenger-god Hermes who had little wings on his feet and sometimes back.
Apparently the evergreen tradition was old enough to bother the Jews of the
Old Testament who wrote about Christmas trees (which apparently god didn't
like because they were of a different religion)

But what about the Santa Claus story? Well believe it or not several myths
bout the myth have been made up to explain this story. Truth be known the
modern figure of Santa in the Red and White with the beard etc came from the
American company Coca-Cola. However the figure is much older than that. His
name is Dutch Sancte Claus. He is a combination of the Catholic St. Nicholas
and a couple of poets in New York. But we'll get to that next time. The
physical depiction of him came from Coca-cola based on the famous poem "Twas
the Night Before Christmas."
Quick Origin of Santa Claus
"a. Nicholas was born in Parara, Turkey in 270 CE and later became Bishop of
Myra. He died in 345 CE on December 6th. He was only named a saint in the
19th century.
b. Nicholas was among the most senior bishops who convened the Council of
Nicaea in 325 CE and created the New Testament. The text they produced
portrayed Jews as "the children of the devil"[11] who sentenced Jesus to
death.
c. In 1087, a group of sailors who idolized Nicholas moved his bones from
Turkey to a sanctuary in Bari, Italy. There Nicholas supplanted a female
boon-giving deity called The Grandmother, or Pasqua Epiphania, who used to
fill the children's stockings with her gifts. The Grandmother was ousted
from her shrine at Bari, which became the center of the Nicholas cult.
Members of this group gave each other gifts during a pageant they conducted
annually on the anniversary of Nicholas' death, December 6.
d. The Nicholas cult spread north until it was adopted by German and Celtic
pagans. These groups worshiped a pantheon led by Woden -their chief god and
the father of Thor, Balder, and Tiw. Woden had a long, white beard and rode
a horse through the heavens one evening each Autumn. When Nicholas merged
with Woden, he shed his Mediterranean appearance, grew a beard, mounted a
flying horse, rescheduled his flight for December, and donned heavy winter
clothing.
e. In a bid for pagan adherents in Northern Europe, the Catholic Church
adopted the Nicholas cult and taught that he did (and they should)
distribute gifts on December 25th instead of December 6th.
f. In 1809, the novelist Washington Irving (most famous his The Legend of
Sleepy Hollow and Rip Van Winkle) wrote a satire of Dutch culture entitled
Knickerbocker History. The satire refers several times to the white bearded,
flying-horse riding Saint Nicholas using his Dutch name, Santa Claus.
g. Dr. Clement Moore, a professor at Union Seminary, read Knickerbocker
History, and in 1822 he published a poem based on the character Santa Claus:
"Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house, not a creature
was stirring, not even a mouse. The stockings were hung by the chimney with
care, in the hope that Saint Nicholas soon would be there." Moore innovated
by portraying a Santa with eight reindeer who descended through chimneys.
h. The Bavarian illustrator Thomas Nast almost completed the modern picture
of Santa Claus. From 1862 through 1886, based on Moore's poem, Nast drew
more than 2,200 cartoon images of Santa for Harper's Weekly. Before Nast,
Saint Nicholas had been pictured as everything from a stern looking bishop
to a gnome-like figure in a frock. Nast also gave Santa a home at the North
Pole, his workshop filled with elves, and his list of the good and bad
children of the world. All Santa was missing was his red outfit.
i. In 1931, the Coca Cola Corporation contracted the Swedish commercial
artist Haddon Sundblom to create a coke-drinking Santa. Sundblom modeled his
Santa on his friend Lou Prentice, chosen for his cheerful, chubby face. The
corporation insisted that Santa's fur-trimmed suit be bright, Coca Cola red.

Well most people can not even find some countries on the map much less know
a thing about them. I think our educational sytem purposely dumbs people
down.
Gods do not die; they just morph into new stories like a bad game of
Telephone. Conquered people already have their own state myths so in order
to control them you have to embrace their myths and use them or incorporate
your own myths into them. That is what religion does. It controls people and
concentrates their wealth to finances armies. Even today the Christian
Churches in America have 4-8 billion dollars each invested in defense
companies involved in the Israeli Palestinian conflict. Jerusalem has been a
religious-military-industrial-complex cash cow for a very very long time.
The Romans saw the advantage of Monotheism to Polytheism as they saw the
advantage (in war) of an emperor instead of a republic. Polytheism has the
problem of dividing the wealth among the different temples and thus dividing
the power and clout of different areas (like the Greek City States).
Monotheism also bestowed full power to god's appointed authorities (the
kings) and did away with the senate. The Romans copied a very powerful
monotheistic religion, Judaism. However they had to get rid of the ethnic
ties of Judaism being only for Israelites. Thus through the Krishna story
they created a sacrificial figure who could serve to open up the
monotheistic Judaism to ALL people (including Italians) through the Christ
figure. Also the afterlife story was better than the original Greek/Roman
one where only well to do's got to go to Mt. Olympus. Christianity spent a
great deal of time creating "for the poor" stories to covert the herd and
turn them against the senate.
A Caesar knew where his army came from and where the power was and that was
in ruling the masses. Give them bread and circuses...From there on it became
a campaign of kill, convert, and collect. Today the Vatican church has its
own bank, its own gold deposits (much of it stolen by murder from the
Americas) and over a trillion dollars worth in assets and capital. It has
its own small country. The more deadly wing however is the Protestants and
the age of TV preachers. They are aligned with the Zionist movement of
fundamentalists Jews and Protestants who are willing to try and create
conditions for Armageddon.

He turns on a radio talk show, the host’s keeps saying that liberals are bad and conservatives are good. (He doesn’t tell Joe that his beloved Republicans have fought against every protection and benefit Joe enjoys throughout his day) Joe agrees, "We don’t need those big government liberals ruining our lives; after all, I’m a self made man who believes everyone should take care of themselves, just like I have".

So at the top of their TO DO list is to remove a Black man who was not only our first African American Supreme Court Justice, but also was the NAACP lawyer who argued and won the most important case of the 20th Century - The unanimous Brown v. Education decision which decided "separate educational facilities were inherently unequal" setting the stage for the forced integration of the South. Anyone believe Blacks don't get that?

Perhaps the most disturbing thing about the far right’s reaction to Senator Ted Kennedy’s death, aside from the ghoulish grave-stomping, is their immediate attempts to revise the history that they find inconvenient. It’s perhaps not too much of a stretch to say that, like obituary editors, they already had their talking points all lined up while the senator was still among us. And posthumous ones dutifully echoing Sean Hannity and Rush warn us of "the Wellstone Effect."
Yet, as with the larger issue of health care reform, every time someone from the lunatic fringe far right speaks, they betray their hypocrisy, starting with their kneejerk reaction to Sen. Robert Byrd’s call to name the health care bill after Ted Kennedy. This is only appropriate, since health care, moreso than with virtually any other statesman or legislator during Kennedy’s career, was one of his highest priorities.
How soon they forget the first draft hagiographies that spurted forth from journalist’s pens when Reagan died in 2004. How soon they forget that, even before Reagan’s death, his wife Nancy wrote a letter to Sen. Orrin Hatch pleading for Congress to fund stem cell research so that others wouldn’t suffer from Alzheimer’s like her husband. It was a surprising turnaround, since funding stem cell research rubs against the grain of virtually every Republican in the land. But Nancy Reagan had pull with the GOP and still does.
Instead, we’re seeing Kennedy’s death and Byrd’s call to use Kennedy’s death to push a comprehensive health reform bill being politicized to cartoonish proportions.
However, considering this is the fourth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, making for more compelling dual portraits by contrast is Kennedy’s legacy when compared to that of another Republican “president”: George W. Bush. Daily Kos’ Louisiana wrote a diarythat extolled Ted Kennedy’s lobbying on behalf of the people of New Orleans and the Gulf Coast. What was lost on the diarist were the monstrous ironies between Ted Kennedy’s understated but heroic conduct and that of George W. Bush.
Kennedy called, unsuccessfully, for the creation of a cabinet-level Gulf Coast Redevelopment Authority. George W. Bush suggested Karl Rove as Reconstruction Czar long after demoting FEMA from a Cabinet-level authority to a mockery headed up by an Arabian horse judge. It was Reconstruction all over again, all right. One year after the storm made landfall, 81% of the residents of the 9th Ward still hadn’t been returned andpeople were forcibly evicted from apartment buildings that hadn’t been touched by a drop of water and were condemned.
Before Kennedy had called for a Cabinet-level authority to rebuild the Gulf coast, FEMA had already outsourced the job for a city-wide evacuation to IEM, or Innovative Emergency Management, a client of a lobbying firm named The Livingston Group. IEM is headed by Madhu Beriwal, a heavy GOP campaign contributor, a woman, like Michael Brown, with no emergency management experience whatsoever, who nonetheless was paid $500,000 to come up with an evacuation plan that was never written in spite of a computer scenario underwritten by three contractors, among them IEM, that eerily anticipated what a Category 5 hurricane could do (After Katrina made landfall, their boasting of landing such a huge contract for an evacuation plan was mysteriously lifted from the company’s website.). Lost on critics of Kennedy is that if Bush hadn’t underfunded the levee reconstruction, if his campaign contributors at IEM had done their job, Kennedy’s call for a Gulf Coast Redevelopment Authority wouldn’t have been necessary.
Ted Kennedy accidentally drowned one woman. George Bush knowingly let over 1500 drown, knowing by Monday night that the levees had burst and not letting even the emergency management authorities in New Orleans know, much less the tens of thousands that were trapped. He also deliberately underfunded the Army Corps of Engineers, who only got a tiny fraction of the money they said they needed to rebuild the levees and pump stations. Bush also lied about knowing how fragile the levees were, saying that “no one could’ve anticipated the breach of the levees.”
Ted Kennedy called his actions the night Mary Jo Kopechne drowned “indefensible.”Bush scuffled his feet in place and murmured something about taking “responsibility” for FEMA’s response to the disaster then three and a half years later essentially taking it back by snarling at a reporter in the last days of his administration that he didn’t want to hear about what they didn’t do. “We pulled 30,000 off their roofs.”
Beyond Bush, we see other stalwarts from the Party of Personal Responsibility such asSen. John Ensign, who’s still bleating, I didn’t do anything legally wrong, unlike Bill Clinton. We’re seeing Republicans giving other philanderers such as Sen. David Vitter a standing ovation for coming out about his own marital infidelity only when he knew someone was going to expose him. Amazingly, two years later, Vitter’s actually getting a respectful hearing even after telling people in all-white Elmwood why Obama’s health care reforms would be worse for them than what they already have.
Tom DeLay, even after Randall “Duke” Cunningham confessed to accepting $2.4 million in bribes, still called the most corrupt congressman in the history of our Republic “a hero” and “an honorable man of high integrity.”
We saw a GOP leadership that closed ranks around child endangerment crusader Mark Foley for years on end even while knowing that Foley was leering at underaged pages and making sexually explicit remarks to them in emails and online chats. We heard about Karl Rove threatening to block Foley’s dreams of being a lobbyist unless he ran for another term, thereby exposing him to more underaged pages, because he was a GOP cash cow.
All things considered, I’d say that Ted Kennedy throwing himself on the mercy of the American people, without whining about victimization and without offering excuses, qualifies him as being the standard bearer for the true Party of Personal Responsibility.

With about 90% of children getting their drugs from other children, it can be honestly said that William Bennett has no moral problem be heading children.

We know how that meeting between MacArthur and Truman went, but we still don't know exactly how the President Obama/Gen. McChrystal went. But we can imagine:

That's how I hope that conversation went, anyway. Or at least something approximating it.
First of all let's get the terminology right for change. In a counter-insurgency/nation building mission, terms like "winning"and "losing" are meaningless. Such absolute terms are only meaningful during absolute wars .... as in REAL wars.
The Afghanistan operation and our so-called "war on terrorism" are NOT real wars. Not even close.
Real war is when a nation is reacting to a genuine strategic threat to its very existence. Al Qaida and the Taliban do not now, and never will, pose such an existential threat to America or Europe or any other part of the developed world.
True, they can be deadly and annoying and expensive. But what they can never be are victors over us. Never, under any imaginable scenario, can they defeat, occupy or have any significant, longterm impact on America or Americans at large. Even relatively spectacular attacks such as 9/1l, while emotionally jarring, achieve only limited and fleeting impact.
So we are not about to "lose" a war in Afghanistan. And we are not about to "win" it either.

Three Americans won the Nobel prize for Medicine the other day. (Cue U-S-A! U-S-A! chants). They recieved the award for discovering the existence and role an enzyme, telomerase, plays in repairing damaged DNA strands (actually something quite important for the future of medical treatments for genetic diseases and many cancers). Yet one of them, Elizabeth Blackburn, wasn't good enough for our last President George Bush, because he fired her from the Federal government's Council on Bioethics. Why?Because she didn't toe the GOP line on stem cell research which made her persona non grata to the Bush and the Republican party's faith based version of what science should be:
Blackburn spoke out about the Council of Bioethics, demonstrating that despite its written mission to be a body that monitors research developments and recommends appropriate guidelines, it was really just a tool for parroting the Bush Administration's positions on certain hot-button issues -- particularly embryonic stem cell research. Thus, Blackburn played a central and important role in revealing the extent of the political interference in science that pervaded the Bush Administration.

All I ask of those who voted for Obama is to not pile on him too quickly. Yes, make your voice heard . But don't abandon the best hope we've had in our lifetime for change. And for God's sake, don't head to bummerville if he says or does something we don't like. Do you ever see Republicans behave that way? I mean, the Right had 20 years of Republican presidents and they still couldn't get prayer in the public schools, or outlaw abortion, or initiate a flat tax or put our Social Security into the stock market. They did a lot of damage, no doubt about that, but on the key issues that the Christian Right fought for, they came up nearly empty handed. No wonder they've been driven crazy lately. They'll never have it as good again as they've had it since Reagan took office.
Many, for the past couple days (yes, myself included), have grumbled, "What has he done to earn this prize?" How 'bout this:
The simple fact that he was elected was reason enough for him to be the recipient of this year's Nobel Peace Prize.
Because on that day the murderous actions of the Bush/Cheney years were totally and thoroughly rebuked. One man -- a man who opposed the War in Iraq from the beginning -- offered to end the insanity. The world has stood by in utter horror for the past eight years as they watched the descendants of Washington, Lincoln and Jefferson light the fuse of our own self-destruction. We flipped off the nations on this planet by abandoning Kyoto and then proceeded to melt eight more years worth of the polar ice caps. We invaded two nations that didn't attack us, failed to find the real terrorists and, in effect, ignited our own wave of terror. People all over the world wondered if we had gone mad.
And if all that wasn't enough, the outgoing Joker presided over the worst global financial collapse since the Great Depression.
So, yeah, at precisely 11:00pm ET on November 4, 2008, Barack Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize. And the 66 million people who voted for him won it, too. By the time he took the stage at midnight ET in the Grant Park Historic Hippie Battlefield in downtown Chicago, billions of people around the globe were already breathing a huge sigh of relief. It was as if, in that instant, one man did bring the promise of peace to the world -- and most were ready to go wherever he wanted to go to achieve that end. Never before had the election of one man made every other nation feel like they had won, too. When you've got billions of people ready, willing and able to join a cause like this, well, a prize in Oslo is the least that you deserve.
One other thought. The Peace Prize historically has been given to those who have worked to throw off the yoke of racial discrimination and segregation (Martin Luther King, Jr., Desmond Tutu). I think the Nobel committee, in awarding Obama the prize, was also rewarding the fact that something profound had happened in a nation that was founded on racial genocide, built on racist slavery, and held back for a hundred-plus years by vestiges of hateful bigotry (which can still be found on display at teabagger rallies and daily talk radio). The fact that this one man could cause this seismic historical event to occur -- and to do so with such grace and humility, never succumbing to the bait, but still not backing down (yes, he asked to be sworn in as "Barack Hussein Obama"!) -- is more than reason enough he should be in Oslo to meet the King on December 10. Maybe he could take us along with him. 'Cause I also suspect the Nobel committee was tipping its hat to all of us -- we, the American people, had conquered some of our racism and did the truly unexpected. After seeing searing images of our black fellow citizens left to drown in New Orleans -- and poor whites seeing their own treated no better than the black man they had been raised to hate -- we had all seen enough. It was time for change.
Thank you, Barack Obama, for giving us the opportunity to redeem ourselves. Now for the tasks ahead. We need you to do all that you promised to do. We need it. The world needs it.
