ITL  Rome, Italy 7  Victor Emmanuel II Italy National Monument

Took the city bus to the Altare della Patria, The National monument built in honor of Vittorio Emanuele II, Victor Emmanuel II, the 1st King of a unified Italy.

It was rainy and overcast, wind about 12 to 15.

The marble work was amazing.

The statues and sculptures are truely Italian works of art and history.

The National Monument is between The Piazza del Camplidoglio and overlooks Piazza Venizia.

At the center of the Piazza was the Veterans wreath with guards for the unknown soldiers and Veterans.

The front of the national monument is a large open square the Piazza Venizia which had a hotel on one side with a balcony that Mussollini, IL Duce spoke to crowds in WWII.

You never drink twice from the same stream.
