On a Friday night in The South... there's a group of half coon ass Bohemians that get together and tend to kick it up a notch dancing to the best Cajun/ Zydeco music/ bands in the South= In The WORLD!!!
Tonight we danced to the live performance of Dennis Stroughmatt and The Creole Stomp, and they rocked the house!!!
On a Friday night in The South... this is how we live... what we do for a living.
Cajun Zydeco music originates from the deep South region of Louisiana... Lafayette,... Lake Charles, Baton Rouge,... Thibodoux, ... Houma,... and those great Cajun Zydeco music bands come up into Alabama to play for our dances. This band is a unique twist to Creole music as they hail from the South Illinois area that has a historical French pioneer culture in that area. The French culture and music is popular in that triangle area of Vincennes, IN, Cape Giaradeau, MO, and St Louis. And when these guys sing in that French Creole language it is really special music to dance to.
The good Cajun/ Zydeco bands book a tour on a weekend from Louisiana up to Birmingham, Huntsville, & Atlanta, so we get some of the best Zydeco music in The South... in The World... right here in Birmingham, ALa on a Friday night.
We have about 250 serious Zydeco dancers that gather for some of the best music in the world.
?Did I mention that The South is a Great Place? !
.... This is too good to pass up.
Tonight's Zydeco music by Dennis Stroughmatt & The Creole Stomp ,... and they rocked the house!
Thank you Dennis and Creole Stomp! Come back soon. We love dancing to your music!
