Last Tango in Santiago
The last day in Santiago Spain.... The Camino de Santiago Compostela....
We've got a last day in Santiago so head to the official office to obtain our Camino completion certificate.
When you get there you will see the # ticket they are servicing... to go in and present your Camino passport with ALL the appropriate stamps showing where you were on The Camino de Santiago.
Then you draw a # ticket. You've got 3 to 4 hours so go see Santiago and come back to the office. When your # comes up, be there.
Santiago is a UNESCO World Heritage site... go see it !

Back to the Compotella square...
On the journey of a lifetime.... I made it here!
While waiting for the certificate.... walked around to other Cathedrals...
I thin this is real gold... it is magnificent to see this.
And more Cathedrals... The Compostella is about a dozen Cathedrals and iglesias, chapels near the main square.
It's hard to describe how magnificent these Cathedrals are.
Finally we get our certificate... All the Camino passport stamps were there.
Finnish seeing a few more places and get a bite to eat.
Later in the afternoon rain we duck into a cafe for a...

Back to the hotel early and pack for early am trip to airport. Flight from Lavocolla to Madrid leaves at like 0615, so be there at 0430. Get up at 0330, get to lobby and take a taxi.... 15 euros. Transit day, Madrid to ATL is 1030. Arv ATL 4;30pm... a looooong transit day. A good day in Santiago! A good end to a wonderful journey.
