Homer, Alaska 1.

Homer, Alaska, a fantastic place. THE halibut fishing capital of the world.

Came down off the hill, ALaska hwy 1, down into Homer, drove out onto the spit,
The Homer Causeway, … what a wonderful place.

Homer Marina, picturesque.  Restaurants, charter businesses, all along The Causeway spit.

At the end of the spit is the Alaska Marine ferry terminal.

On the spit, storefront businesses, fishing charters, seaplane charters, kayak charters,
Mini seafood restaurants, very busy. This is AK at it’s best. Frontier… available to tourists.

Picked a good seafood restaurant, feasted again on Fresh salmon.
I didn't think you could get tired of eating salmon, but you can. My God is it good.

Downtown Homer, a moose walking in a vacant lot.

Homer Library and checked email. Kenai Peninsula Visitor Center.

Mailed box home of Alaska Maps, materials, ALK items.

Homer spit, the causeway, walked out on the Pebble Beach.
Across the bay are ALaska glacier snowpack mountains. Absolutely beautiful.

temperature 44 degrees, wind 25 +.

Drove several miles back up the highway to Anchor Point campsite for the night.

Anchor Point, Alaska, is the western-most highway in the USA.
This completes my four corners of the universe, the… universe..., my North American continent...
drove on the easternmost USA road at Lubeck, Maine. Now here.

Anchor Point is uniquely beautiful.

This is the furthest point in this ALaska RT. This IS bingo fuel. This is THE end point.
From here it’s winding back out of ALaska. There’s a few places to see on the way back out of here.
This RT is not over. Now it;s 6,000+ miles back.
And some good stops are on the agenda getting out of here.

And a Bald Eagle!!! In back of the campsite. A good day!

You never drink twice from the same stream.

Just because you wander doesn't mean you're lost.
