ROF= Ring of fire Odyssey  MEF-H = Marine Expeditionary Force- Hargus

AK= Alaska journey

Tuesday August 8, 2017

MV LuLu Belle Columbia Glacier 1.  Alaska is the mother of all road trips. You have not seen Alaska completely until you go to Valdez.

When you get to Valdez you want to book an excursion tour on the Lulu Belle to see the Columbia Glacier icefield.

I've walked around the Sun 66 times on this journey, this Odyssey; this was one of the most phenomenal days in this Odyssey between the eternities.

The MV Lulu Belle Cruise to the Columbia Glacier icefield is about $140, worth every penny. Do NOT leave Valdez without going on this Cruise to this glacier. … on THIS ship - the Lu-Lu Belle with Captain Fred.

Captain Fred Rodolph is the skipper of the MV Lulu Belle, a 70 foot ship that will leave Valdez and go some 40 to 50 miles through Prince William sound to see this amazing Columbia icefield glacier.

You muster at the Valdez city marina. Board and cast off Valdez Marina around 10 a.m., an all day excursion, and get back late afternoon about 6:30 to 7. If you see Alaska marine life- whales, sea lions ect, or wildlife, bears on shore, puffins ect… Capt Fred will stay on station longer.

This is the Initial embarkation, first leg of the day.

On the way you will see some Alaska Marine wildlife, PODS of sea otters, herds of sea lions, Maybe some puffins nests.

Leaving Valdez is a beautiful sight ring by the glacial snow-capped chew Gaucho mountains.

and you will pass by the Alaska oil storage terminal facility best known as the terminus of the Alaska pipeline. yes this is where the Exxon Valdez ran aground in 1989 and had the horrible oil spill. Some 25 years later seems to have recovered well.

these pictures, Are the initial embarkation leaving the port of Valdez Marina.

You never drink twice from the same stream.

Just because you wander doesn't mean you're lost.
