Day trip down to Mizen Head lighthouse.
Left Cork, Ireland mid morning. Walked into downtown Cork yesterday & want to get away from the somewhat urban Ireland and out into the less touristy Ireland.
Mizen Head... Mizen Head lighthouse... on this peninsula is the Southernmost point of Ireland.
Fastenall is a lighthouse on an island. Mizen Head is still on mainland terrafirma.

So, this southernmost point of Ireland has been navigated by mariners.... The Vikings, Norsemen, The Goths, and god knows whoever sailed a ship/ boat around south Ireland weather to rob and plunder, capture for prize, or trade.
Historically important, it's is exciting to see this.
You never drink twice from the same stream.
Just because you wander doesn't mean you're lost.
