Murrisk, Ireland
Murrisk, Ireland is a small, sleepy, quiet, coastal town/ Village on Clew Bay, north Ireland- NOT.
Well, it is small and quaint, but it is at the base of Croagh Patrick; Mount Patrick; Irelands Holy Mountain. ... The mountain St Patrick climbed, stayed 40 days praying, came down and drove the Pagans out of Ireland -- making/ declaring Ireland to be a Christian nation.
Murrisk Pier rd... across the tidal bay.
Seafarers memorial on Murrisk pier rd.
We walked around some to Murrisk pier.
Local pub
If you are thinking of climbing Croagh Patrick... I advise you to stop and say a prayer here before you undertake this.
I have read that a million pilgrims a year climb Croagh Patrick.
Our day was somewhat light with a few dozen climbers.
This is not for the faint of heart, so before you think you are going to just ditty-bop up the hill read all the Croagh Patrick posts here, Croagh-patrick-3-begin-ascent-its-go time , Croagh-patrick-summit , and here Croagh-patrick-descend .
In "The Saddle" overlooking Clew Bay.

You never drink twice from the same stream.
Just because you wander doesn't mean you're lost.
