On the left/ north side of the road is a large ?lake... It is Killary Fjiord.
Drive on several more miles and come to small town/ village Leenaun, Ireland at the end of Killary Fjiord.
Somewhere I remember seeing this is the 2nd largest fjiord in Ireland.

Killary Fjiord
Driving north today en route to Murrisk, Ireland to see, maybe climb Croagh Patrick/ Mount Patrick,... the mountain Patrick climbed, prayed for 40 days, then came down off the mountain and drove out the Pagans from Ireland making Ireland a Christian nation forever.
We got of on backroad r344 heading north. This is about 2 miles east of Connemara Nat Pk, up through Doo Lake Valley. beautiful!.
