Connemara Nat Pk 1     driving north on r344

We're the only ones out here. Perfect way to see Ireland!!!

This is actually a couple of miles east of Connemara Nat Pk but the scenery is great.

We're headed north to Murrisk to see Croagh Patrick/ Mt Patrick... the mountain Patrick climbed, spent 40 days praying, then came down and drove the Pagans out of Ireland - declaring Ireland to be a Christian nation.

The scenery here is breathtaking. ...and there are NO tourists. Pretty remote, isolated and pristine... that's the way we like to see places. Ireland is a wonderful place.  Erin go Bragh!!!

Free range sheep. Very common. I still don't know why?

from wiki: Why do sheep have patches of color painted on their wool? Farmers “paint” their sheep for identification. ... When mating, the ram mounts the ewe and a bit of dye is deposited on the ewe's upper back. This way, the farmer knows which ewes have been impregnated and moves them on to another field away from the ram.

Now, that makes sense.

You never drink twice from the same stream.

Just because you wander doesn't mean you're lost.
